Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jackson129 Great value on a 7" tablet
Super smooth quad-core processor. Very nice screen resolution and a pleasant assortment of apps without the bloat normally associated with preloads. Battery life seems to be about average. I don't believe you will find a nicer 7" tablet with these features at this price point. I could not be more pleased.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by AmarK Awesome product for the price point
This tablet has all the good features a stock android tablet should have. The performance is good. I didn't see any lags in running stuff. Also the battery life is better than some other tablets I used recently. And its only $100. The tablet feels expensive on hand. Screen can be bigger. Good product, best quality for the price point.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Michael52 Great value
This is a very good tablet for reading, email and such. It's light and the price is right. The battery life might be a concern for all-day users, but otherwise this one is great for internet and reading on the go.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by HarryEP Tablet has some stability issues which is the OS.
the tablet is a great size especially for reading. It has some stability issues which maybe because of the way I hold it. The Home screen keeps reappearing when I'm in the middle of a search or when reading an article. This happens frequently enough to be annoying, When an internet page is called up from a reference from within an article it appears in the background is not easily obtained because the tabs are short and my fingers are stubby. Always bring new tabs up in the foreground. The glass is not sensitive enough to the touch when reading the Washpost paper. However, reading texts are clear, fonts are dark, and a good size after I found the default options. Hope these are helpful. I am getting better at using it. I have an Ipad. Iphone, and two kindles. It took some getting used to the Kindle Fire OS, too.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by TRS43 Very nice, but ...
Within 2-3 days, scratches started showing on the screen. Not deal breakers at this price, but no scratches on my iPad Mini (since sold) or any of the other 4 tablets I have owned. Overall, a good value with the coupon ($90 shipped), but it is bare bones, so don't expect any bells and whistles. For web, email and streaming video, perfect. Well, except for the subpar sound, and the seemingly capped volume control.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Montrose44 Poor Stylus Response
I own two first generation Nexus 7 tablets and a first generation Kindle tablet and with each one I never use my finger, I only use a stylus. I've used both a rubber tipped and fiber mesh stylus, and the tablets that I owned were as responsive to the stylus as they were to my finger.
What I first noticed with the HP 7 Plus was the non-responsive to any of the styluses that I had, but was exceptionally responsive to my finger. Depending upon the screen and the icon button, I had to tap several times, or hold the stylus on the icon before it would respond, whereas when I used my finger, I got an instantaneous response.
I called up HP and wanted to return it. I was told that the HP tablets worked best with a HP stylus, so even though I was quite skeptical about this I ordered one. When I got it, it was rubber tipped and found that there was absolutely no increase in the tablet's responsiveness to it. Needless to say I was quite unhappy since when I actually used the tablet for watching video's it was superb.
However, the poor responsiveness of the tablet to the HP stylus that I ordered proved to be very, very aggravating and frustrating for me. Despite how great the tablet performed otherwise, I reluctantly returned it and the stylus. There was no way I was going to subject my self to continually experiencing the tablets poor stylus response. In fact I now realized that for me, even if someone gave me a tablet with a poor stylus response, I would not use it.
I really wished the tablet did have a good stylus response, because if it did I was going to buy another one for a dear friend to mine; this would have been her first tablet, and if we both had the same one, I would then have been able to help her.
I do wish that HP would contact me about this issue. I have a HP laptop that I have been very happy with, and over the years have been quite happy with HP's excellent technical support, and thus this is one of the reasons I wanted to buy the tablet from HP.
