Customer ratings and reviews for HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer

Rated 1 out of 5 by Defective fax, unscrupulous ink changes FAX: The setup's Fax Test consistently reports that the fax won't work. Sometimes it says I'm using the wrong wire (false), sometimes it says I have the right wire but it is plugged into the wrong jack (false). As a result, even though I currently am able to send and receive faxes, I can't trust it to keep working. INK: I ordered this printer specifically because HP told me that it would accept the 564 and 564XL ink cartridges that I originally bought for an earlier Photosmart. But it won't -- HP changed the size of the 564 cartridge, and this printer requires the new-size 564 cartridge. October 18, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice product I replaced a 6180 with the new 7520. I was looking into the 7510 for a while, but I wanted to have the fax feature too. I am glad I waited, setup was easy and had it up and running on 4 PC's in no time. The only drawback during setup was the fax came back with an error, even I could send and receive faxes. Documents print fast, pictures are as from a pro. I defenitaly would recommend the printer. October 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall a great printer I purchased this for my ex-boss after doing a lot of research. Setting up is getting to be a bit complicated. Now there are set-up cartridges which you have to use on first configuration. They only come in the box, not available at stores. So, what happens if one of these cartridges are defective? The fax test indicated a "fail", that the wrong type phone cord was being used. I used the one from the box. I sent a fax out and received one without any problems though. It has all the features we were looking for and the design of the paper/photo trays are awesome. Excellent quality photo prints, very fast on black prints and draft is good quality to read basic documents. It has 2 sided printing, auto document feeder and wirless all work great and pretty quiet. I was sad at first because the first one kept indicating it had carriage and paper jams. So after a wasted afternoon then taking it back for an exchange, the 2nd one works great. October 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by DOES IT ALL WORKS WELL. A LITTLE SLOWER THAN I HAD HOPED, BUT GREAT FOR HOME. October 9, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Recommend ..yes witth reservations I have several reservations about this printer. 1. It does not have auto paper sense so if you intend to print anything other then standard 8.5x11 sheets of paper or larger you will not be able to use the auto duplexer. My last printer was a HP D7260 with the duplexer and it had the auto sense so I could print just about anything including 5x8 recipe cards for the wife. 2. If you are experienced at setting up printers you should have no problems. However the documentation for this products is sorely lacking. Not even a quick install sheet. Lots of troubleshooting guides though. I guess HP knows that the average person may have trouble installing the printer. Yes there are install wizards, but it would be nice to know what you are installing. On the good side. The printer is fast and the print quality is very good. I am a great fan of HP printers and this one is up to the usual good standards of HP except for the ites above. October 8, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by 7520 HP Photosmart I got this from Office Depot to replace C401. It set-up wireless-ly with no problems... It did it itself. I was able to connect my laptop and my home computer with no issues. I still can not locate a user manual, and I am having trouble with my double sided printing. This has never been a problem on my previous HP Photo Smart Printers. I have only had it for 1 day, so we will keep working through this issue. September 19, 2012
