Customer ratings and reviews for HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn Printer

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Inexpensive Printer Needed a LaserJet printer with built-in 10-base-t network connection. This unit fits the bill and has a nice small footprint for small office desktop use. Somewhat noisy in the fast mode, but the noise stops quickly due to the speed of the printer. The quiet mode is much quieter, but the speed is significantly reduced by more than half. At least you have the choice. Build quality is typical for this low end printer, but I suspect is will hold up okay in a small office environment. February 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is great! All of our reports finally print properly! Unit is small, has some neat features we're enjoying & is easy to install & use. I only wish it were wireless. The features we like are the second paper tray and the quick, quiet printing. the download for the PCL5e was easy to find & install too. February 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Small & easy to set up Only thing lacking is wifi capability. Otherwise it is very good for home office use. Reasonably fast and good quality. January 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful I am DELIGHTED! It's quick, duplexes, and cost only $179.00. A trememdous upgrade from my old printer. January 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good basic printer. For the past several years my working printer for text has been the HP Laserjet 1320, a ;printer that I would recommend to anyone. I was working on a set of two XP based computers, but for lots of reasons I had to buy a Windows 7 computer. The problem was that my new computer wouldn't install the 1320 either from the Disk or from the drivers I downloaded from the HP website. And thus I was caught in the Catch 22 of the technical support industry. Microsoft wouldn't help because Windows 7 was an OEM installation on my computer, Toshiba wouldn't help because the printer was a "third party" product and you couldn't help because you don't deal with others' software problems. Everybody invited me to buy help. I bought a printer instead. The 1606dn is comparable to the 1320. Think it's a little flimsier in construction and noisier in operation, But it does what I need, is fast enough for my work and has an automatic duplexer. In the world of wishes, I wish it would handle legal sized paper, but that's my only complaint. Works well. January 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is very easy to set up I ordered this to replace a MFP so I miss the scanner, but I was impressed with the ease of setup. Network printers were especially simple to install. I did not buy this printer because it had eprint capabilities, but I love the feature. Much easier and cheaper than any other solution to print from my tablet January 8, 2013
