Ideal for

  • Workteams will create high-impact documents that get noticed with the brilliant color delivered by HP office Color Laser printers.

Features

Affordable A3 printing

  • Now you can handle all your business printing and A3 output in your own office using a single printer. Print everyday business documents, marketing materials and wide-format projects at an affordable price—often less than printing at a copy shop.
  • Easily print on different types of paper—plain, premium, and glossy—with adjustable paper trays. The printer supports sizes from 3 by 5 in up to 12 by 18 in and weights up to 220 g/m².
  • Use the HP Print Cost Estimator—available in the included HP Print View Software—to compare the cost of printing internally versus at a copy shop.[1]

High-quality output on a range of documents

  • Make an impact by putting your business in the best light. Using in-line printer architecture, four colors are aligned and applied in a single pass for reliable, accurate print quality.
  • HP ImageREt 3600 is image resolution technology that creates smooth colors, sharp images, and crisp text. Original HP cartridges with HP ColorSphere toner deliver consistent, print shop-quality results for professional office printing.
  • Achieve consistent results at speeds of up to 20 ppm and a first page out in as fast as 14.5 seconds.

Easy to use, share and maintain

  • The printer’s control panel is intuitive and instructive. Networked models are easy to share, and it’s a snap to replace and order supplies.
  • Access the technology, services, solutions, and support you need to manage and grow your business with HP Total Care.

Customer ratings and reviews for HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225n Printer

Rated 1 out of 5 by very poor out put, too low memory i am unable to get the print if a flash drive is attached to the PC. i have to restart the PC many times before i can get the print. the cyan color prints out in marine green . the colors are not aligned. March 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Pleased Just got this machine yesterday so cannot speak to long-term reliability or toner consumption, but overall impression is excellent. Unboxed it, plugged it in, put it on ethernet, and we were printing immediately. We're a MAC environment. The machine is quiet, plenty fast for our needs, compact for a tabloid size printer. I like that it goes to sleep after 120 seconds and seems to wake/print very quickly. This is lightyears ahead of the old HP colorlaser we had, and exceed performance of an HP monochrome printer we have, though the latter is somewhat old. We'll never push this machine hard in our office, and it should fill our needs handily. March 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Still evaluating purchase I purchased this printer to replace an older deskjet model 1700 which we used to print 11x17 drawings in autocad for many years. We upgraded because the cost of HP ink was excessive. When the printer arrived and we unpacked it. We found a small broken plastic part inside one of the fold down covers. We notified HP right away and they had us take pictures of the part and where we found it and we emailed it to there technical department. They couldnt determine where the part came from. A day later we installed the drivers and printed PDF's, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets. All printed fine with the standard driver (through the network), except anything with blue text came out very fuzzy. When we tried to print from Autocad, the page would come out with a communications error printed on it and no drawing and no error from the print software. The HP website provided no help on this and the only way we were able to resolve it was to download and install the HP universal print driver. This created two seperate CP5225 icons but it worked and stared printing drawings in either 8.5x11 and 11x17 sizes. Again blue text was fuzzy. When we contacted HP about the fuzzy print problem, they recommmended returning it to the distributor we purchased from since there was a broken part unacounted for on the first service call. The distruibutor sent another one out right away and filed a shipping claim against the shipping company. and we have been using it for about a week without any more problems. HP service was helpful throughout the process.. April 10, 2011
