Customer ratings and reviews for HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Printer Great printer for this price range and one of few wireless on the market in the home user price range. Followed instructions for flawless connection to home wireless network using LinkSys N router. Hasn't missed a lick since. June 25, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by No Problems ... so far. On sale from Best Buy for $99. Purchased this because this is the closest to the 1020 at work which worked perfectly for me, size and efficiency wise. Plus, it being wireless meant sharing with no extra wires. The complimentary toner cartridge is enough to outlast me versus all the ink cartridges that run out in less than 50 pages. No problem setting up, done in under 15 min, on wireless on my tired 2005 HP dv4000 laptop and my husband's desktop. The trick is to read the manual. 4 stars for ease of set up. June 24, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Deal Great Printer Just purchased this printer. It took me about 10 minutes to get it up and running,Truly a very nice printer at a very reasonable price. I would recommend it to anyone June 3, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Update on my last review - solved installation After trying different security setting on my Linksys router to no avail, I was about to call hp support when I realized that my Panasonic 1.9GHz DECT6 phone was on the same desk as the printer. I moved the phone to another room and the printer installed.. first under WEP, then again in WMA security. I believe this phone was the culprit. No where in the instructions does hp caution about phone interference, but I had heard of it before. Panasonic says the 19.GHz will not interfere with home routers, etc., but obviously... the printer is now running with 2 Win 7 and two XP PCs, no problem. I recommend you set up a fixed IP for the printer after it is assigned one via dhcp. Use the ip address and the browser to access the printers internal web page and set a fixed ip. I also used the cd to install the XP machines. You have to Add Printers/Local Printer (uncheck auto search)/New port/tcpip/enter static ip address/have driver/point to cd/autorun.inf, etc... Also, mine isn't noisy and goes to sleep in just a few seconds. HP should allow updates to reviews. I had to create a new user to do this... April 29, 2010
Rated 2 out of 5 by Wireless Does Not Work Out of the Box Hooray! My new printer is here (4/28/10). I am a retired IT pro. I have been trying to get this to connect to my Linksys a/g/n router for 2 hours and am now quitting. It cannot find it. When I enter the ID manually, it can't find it. It is 6 feet away. It found it once then failed on the wireless password, after that, never found it again. Works fine on the USB. No new software/firmare on hp site. I have an old Thinkpad and a new HP laptop on the router wirelessly, so next is a call to HP support. Very disappointing to say the least. April 28, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bang for the buck The respose time and speed are very good. Envelope printing is okay (not many printers do a bang-up job). I had an isolated installation problem that HP Online chat helped with (excellent survice). Easy to load paper, toner and clear jams (very rare). April 22, 2010
