I purchased this printer about a week ago. So far it has worked great. The set up was easy, it took about 15 minutes (wireless). If you want a very good black and white laser wireless printer, this is the one to buy. I was concerned about the cost of the print cartridge for this printer, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that it cost about $ 52.00. that's cheap considering how many copies it will make. It comes with a demo cartridge that, as I understand it, will print about 700 copies. I purchased an additional cartridge to have on hand when the demo runs out.

Excellent printer for the money. We purchased this to have in our family room downstairs to use for laptops and iPad. Setup was very easy for the laptops and easy for the iPad with AirPrint after we downloaded the firmware update for the printer (after seeing the issue on a forum).
If you want straightforward black and white printing that's wireless this is for you. It has a small footprint which is also just what we needed. The sleep mode works well---wakes right up when you send a print job, although my wife noticed she did have to turn it on once after not using it for a number of days. Not a big deal in my mind.

I stupidly bought an HP P1102w printer with the thought it would print wirelessly with my Mac. I've contacted HP twice to little avail. I brought the software that came with the printer to the Apple store and they too could not copy the software from the CD that came with the printer nor download the software from the HP site. (They tried to do so with several different Macs.)
It prints fine when my Mac is connected to the printer, but that's not what I bought the printer for. I'm out $100 plus tax. I guess the good news is I've learned I'll never buy anything from HP.

I use a Mac and an iPad2. I thought that it would be a chore to set up Mac hardware with this printer. The instructions from HP were clear and fairly easy for me (Not a Techie) to set up. I have owned a 1200 LaserJet for many years with no problems. I thought that was a fast printer.
On my first try with the 1102w I hit "Print" on my keyboard (iMac) and by the time I went to the other room to see the printer work, the finished copy was waiting for me. I was surprised not by the quality, which I expected, but with the speed of the click-to-print process. I repeated the process with the iPad2: Same result.
I use a TP-Link 300mbps "N" Access Point.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Archer Outstanding Laser Printer
I've owned several HP LaserJets, (as well as other manufacturers) the last one being a 2200 which lasted "Forever". But the new P1102w has knocked my socks off! Easy to install, easy flexible use, very connectable and excellent print quality! And very reasonable in price. It does all my small business printing including postcards, card stock, spreadsheets, 2-sided printing, from 2 different computers

Rated 5 out of 5Â by PTCrafty Terrific Printer - Great Deal
I was fortunate to purchase during a sale so the price was awesome. The printer replaced a LaserJet purchased in 2002 that was not working well with my newer computers/OS. I was impressed with the small size and the installation was a breeze once I got past the auto start of the CD - the Quick Start Guide did not fully explain that. From that point the installation went without a hitch and the printer prints beautifully on my home wireless network. It was easy enough to keep my current wireless security in place, including Mac Filtering. The printer wakes up great when I need to print. I wish my All-in-One would work this way! I am very happy I purchased this printer - great job on this one HP!
