Rated 5 out of 5Â by MarkZeny Good printer for the money
I purchased this printer to replace an HP1000 laser printer that was at least 10 years old, because I wanted a wireless printer so my son could print using his laptop.
The printer works great and was a breeze to set up. Just followed the instructions in the Smart Install program that automatically started when I connected the printer.
A good printer for the money. If this printer lasts only half as long as my other HP printers, it will be well worth the price paid.

Have been using this printer for 4 + years now with never a problem. There are few 'features' but, the printer is inexpensive, it prints well, and cartridges last a long time. For basic printing needs, I'd highly recommend it. I just purchased a new tower system from hp, but so no reason to replace this printer.
Lastly, just to put things in perspective, I am a former, book editor, and typesetter. Back in the late 80s, I required a 600 dpi laser printer for work. The cost then, TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!

Loses connectivity constantly. One hour to fix 10 seconds to print. For those of you that keep trying to use this printer, when it loses connectivity try unplugging the power supply for ten seconds. If that makes it feel happy that day it may spit out a response.
IT WILL ONLY PRINT business size envelopes.
May the force be with you.

I previously purchased an HP 73100 All in one and loved it. It's still works reliably today after 8 years. Unfortunately I've have had a lot of aggravation with the Laser Jet Pro P1102w. Multiple times in the first year I've had to call text support because it would stop printing. The HP tech support has been great, solving the problem but my one year warranty ran out in February. I purchased a two year plan with Office Max, but they couldn't solve the problem, when the printer stopped printing. I had to return it. I just purchased the ink cartridge, so I may have to buy another one. Even when I connected a USB cord from the tower to the printer, it still would not print. I hope that the next one that I purchase is more reliable and that perhaps I just got a defective one. I am willing to give it another chance because of the great reliability that I had with the HP All-in-one. I think that the availability of a longer USB cord would be helpful in the event the printer stops working. When the printer was working, it worked great. I have no complaints with how it performed, when it was working.
