An InfoTrends study shows the typical office print job is three to five pages long: http://www.infotrends.com/public/Content/Presentations/officeprinteruse.pdf. Time To Completion of a typical office print job tested on HP and select competing products. Actual results may vary.

[5]Select quiet mode to reduce printer operation noise. Pages will print at half speed.

[7] An FCC Class A emissions compliant device meets the less stringent (higher) levels of emissions allowed by the FCC for a product operation in a commercial environment. An FCC class A device cannot be marketed for use in a residential environment and an FCC class A device should not be purchased for use in a residential environment due to the increased risk of interference to radio communications.

Customer ratings and reviews for HP LaserJet P2035 Printer

Rated 4 out of 5 by Good high use "simple" laser My first HP Laserjet lasted nearly 20years, so I admit I'm spoiled. I replaced that with a HP Color LaserJet which worked but had some drawbacks I hadn't realized were inherent in the type of printer is was when I purchased it. It was serviceable and lasted 7 years before technology (not lack of performance) spelled its doom. I have replaced it with the P2035 printer which reminds me so much of my LaserJet 4. It is small, fast and fairly quiet. It only does black so doesn't need a lot of expensive toner cartridges and prints two sizes at once. There are no onboard electronic controls however, so the settings have to been done on the computer's printer controls but once set, work just fine. It does get quite hot so needs to have lots of space for ventilation and shouldn't be where anyone will accidentally bump into the back. I would recommend this for an individual or a small business who, like me, needs to print a lot of pages in a short period of time. September 15, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER I purchased this printer last summer for $299. Since then I have spent over $500 on Toner Cartridges and soon I will have to buy another one at $100. I called HP Tech support on this. They say that they are rated for approx. 2300 copies. I'm not even getting 1000 out of each and one only 500. I explained to them that I am the only person in a seasonal office who uses this printer and there is no way I should be going through this many! The HP printer I had prior to this one used two cartridges a year max! Since they would not do anything for me, I will not longer buy or recommend HP Products. February 15, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Envelope Misery While this printer is fast for standard paper it is cumbersome when it comes to printing envelopes. We do a fair amount of mail merge printing and when it comes to printing envelopes it will only accept one envelope at a time. If one tries to place several in the manual tray it may or may not accept the first envelope before it indicates a paper jam exists. When we called customer service, believing that there was something wrong we were informed that that is the way the printer is designed. Very disappointing. December 7, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by What a surprise!! I've been retired for 20 years, and for the last 13 I've been using a perfectly good HPLaserJet6L... a great little work horse. I thought about getting a new printer, and before long I had an HP Laser Jet P2035. WOW! I'm breathless every time I use it. It's fast! It's quiet! It has several paths where the paper travels, in and out. This makes it possible to print cards, paper in about any size you want, in quantity or singly. Since my retirement, I'm mostly here at home, so I don't have much to compare it with, except my previous experience. There is absolutely no reason to hesitate! It is WONDERFUL! Rated 1 out of 5 by Waste of money & plastic My main complaint with this printer is that the only toner cartridge currently available for it says it yields up to 2,300 pages (which isn't much) and costs approx $90, but in fact it only yields about 1,500 pages tops. I've had this printer 2 months now and I'm on my 3rd toner cartridge. I work for a law firm, so what I print is just normal business letters and typed documents. I know they make most their "printer money" on the ink, but this is absurd. HP offered a high yield (6,500 page) toner cartridge for my previous printer and that is clearly needed for this printer as well. 2 months into this purchase and I'm already shopping around for a new printer and told our IT people to not buy any more of the P2035. I feel $1,300 a year in ink for a regular black & white business printer is simply a waste. Even if you recycle cartridges, please save the environment and skip buying this printer. May 11, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice little printer! I've been around printers for a long time and this one tops the charts for speed and reliability. I initially ordered two P2035's and we got sent one P2035 and one P2035n (feel free to read the other review) and I highly recommend both of them! This P2035 gets about 500 pages printed every other week and it's worked flawlessly! This printer is heavily used but not as much as the P2035n and they are both humming along! If you want an HP quality printer don't hesitate and just buy it! You won't regret it! Thanks HP for another quality product! May 10, 2010
