Rated 3 out of 5Â by Salm624 Average Performance, Heavy
I was surprised to learn that Windows 8.1 has driver incompatibility issues. My Nexus 5 phone cannot be recognized by this OS. No problem with Windows 7 or Win 8.0. This 2 in 1 is a Laptop and Tablet in one but the weight is greater than I expected. My college student daughter will have to lug this heavyweight around campus. The "Hybrid Drive" gives no indication of what amount of storage, (if any), is SSD. I have no way of telling if it is even the correct drive. I would expect the OS or my applications to be stored on the SSD portion but the Disk Manager only shows the standard partitions and none are identified as SSD. I think I might have paid for extra for nothing. Processor speed is average. The touch pad is either garbage of it takes a whole new level of training to use. After several hours of trying I gave up and installed a mouse. Cursor jumps every time you attempt to type, Pages pop-up (not the one you were typing on) and strange things just seem to happen as you move about. The mouse eliminated all of these issues so I guess I need more practice with the pad. If you need a Tablet / Notebook then look elsewhere. Get one that has two pieces in order to reduce weight of the tablet only portion.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by EddyB Very Impressive Machine
I am completely satisfied with this computer. It exceeded my expectations in many ways... performance, looks, features, quality, size, battery life, and flexibility of the laptop and tablet conversion. I can't say enough how happy I am with this purchase. Thanks.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by jcisrisen Looks and runs great
I like everything about this laptop except the "right mouse key" is, at best, confusing....its inconsistent on where to click for it to actually do a "right mouse key." Not natural. I hope we get used to this...but why is it this way?

Rated 5 out of 5Â by GaryfromNJ My First Hybrid - it's great.
I bought this on the HP shopping web site so I could customize the laptop. I wanted a 360â° folding hybrid with a large hard drive, large screen and i7 processor. This model filled the bill.
I customized it with the larger hard drive, the maximum memory, and 2x2 bluetooth.
I use it mostly as a conventional laptop and the tablet mode is a nice feature when needed.
The new Windows 8.1 operating system is now easy to understand and use. Switching between desktop mode and tile mode is easy and intuitive. A feature HP added is âPokkiâ a menu that adds a start menu functionality to the desktop and enables easy navigation to applications.
I havenât determined the battery life when unplugged because I keep it plugged most of the time.
Uses new updated Windows 8.1 operating system, great screen, large hard drive storage as ordered (1TB), touch screen, 3 USB ports (2 USB 3.0 & 1 USB 2.), blue tooth, back lite keyboard (I really like), light weight (as compared to my previous 17 inch model), runs cooler.
Hard drive light is on the side and not on top or front. HP only offers 2 year Accident/Repair plan instead of the 3 year plans I have used in the past.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Ayeeza Envy seems cheaply made
The touchscreen is nice. The wide screen is nice. However the keyboard seems cheaply made. In fact all of the materials appear cheap/flimsy. I had to restart the modem twice in the first two days because of a lost internet connection. Let's just say I'm happy I bought extended warranty and I'm thinking I'm going to be using it.
