Rated 4 out of 5Â by NeonYang not so powerful as expected
My model is a customized one equipped with i7-4702 CPU and GeForce GT750m 4GB graphics card. However, the RAM of graphics card is DDR3 (not DDR5) and 128bit (not 256bit), whose speed is not that fast as imagined. I played Need for Speed 18 and only lowest graphics quality could run smoothly. Battle field 4 works well on medium graphics quality. Anyway, it's a notebook and not specialized for game, the performance is literally satisfactory. Audio/sound is cool. Looking is modern. Touch screen is good but the screen is not stable enough when you touch it. The fan of CPU/GPU (I not sure) is noisy especially when you play games. I know it's for heat emission but still feel uneasy.

The computer is very capable for email, database, data management, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, photo/video, music, internet searches, financial, newspaper, books, and numerous third-party applications used while working at home. Because I'm using Windows 8.1 and touchscreen, I have to adjust from earlier Windows computers. The system seems to be good technology. My biggest disappointment is design of the power jack. I often move the notebook, or place it from a stand onto my lap, and the power jack cord (with the right angle plug-in jack) often gets tugged or pulled on and unplugs. I think the plug-in power jack design is more fragile than any computer I've ever used (it has broken once in four months, which is something I've never had happen in many year using notebooks) and it's a pain to replace it. You should consider ordering a replacement with computer purchase or determine where and how long it will take you to get a replacement, or else your computer may be out of power longer than you want or expect if the jack breaks. The finger print login software feature is nice (one of my must have features after using it on a previous HP notebook), but sometimes won't activate and requires use of manual logins. Battery life has been good and lets me work disconnected for reasonable periods. Overall, I like the computer and the touch screen (although I typically use a wireless mouse and work in the desktop mode).

I got this computer as a replacement for my HP Pavilion Beats Edition PC under my accidental damage warranty. I would not have picked this one because it looks so much like a Mac and my previous one was black and red. I had to have it built so that it matched (as much as possible) the specs of my last one so it took a while to arrive (added NVidia, Bluetooth, backlit keyboard and i7 Intel processor). One of the differences is the touchscreen (my last one had anti-glare) and I kinda like it so far. It makes surfing a little bit easier but I sometimes forget that it's there lol. The 1080p HD is great and the NVidia graphics card makes gaming smoother (I only play The Sims 3). It has Beats Audio like my last one and I love it. I have Beats earbuds and a Windows 8 phone with Beats so Iâm a fan. I had Windows 8 on my last PC so setup was a breeze, it seemed as everything was in place from the moment I logged on. I also love that I have so much memory; 50GB from Box, 25GB on SkyDrive and 1TB on the PC itself. For the most part, this is a great PC, great performance, sound and features. As I said before, I would not have picked it for myself but Iâm glad I have it ï

For the price, this laptop packs quite some power. I generally have to run high-end graphics. Finally, I have a machine that can have multiple video and graphic programs running concurrently without shutting down or freezing.
