Customer ratings and reviews for HP Wireless TV Connect Kit

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wish I had this years ago! I am a Mobile DJ and this will make life so much easier doing Karaoke and Slide Shows or just around the House. The picture is FANTASTIC! April 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Extremely impressed with product The adapter was extremely easy to set up. At first I did not think it was working and called HP assistance. They were extremely helpful. During the call the adapter started working. I had not allowed enough time for the adapter to link and there was nothing wrong with the adapter. Now it works perfectly and allows me to stream everything I want from the computer to the TV! My wife and I are extremely elated about the adapter and would highly recommend it to those who want to free themselves from the high prices charged by the cable companies. February 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product, and good technology I needed a product that allowed my users at work to display their computer screen up on the large 72" TV we use as our "projector". This system is ideal for us, since it eliminates extra wires crossing the conference room, and drops some jaws with the technology too (which makes me look good). This is an HDMI transfer device....so had to plan for laptops that do not have HDMI output. I was able to purchase a few different adapters (mini-HDMI to HDMI, Display Port to HDMI, and DVI to HDMI) which covers the array of laptop outputs....ALL these adapters worked fine with the HP connect system. The only adapter I have not gotten to work yet is the VGA to HDMI...I assume it is due to the difference in Analog to Digital. Of course, EVERY laptop has a VGA output, but thankfully pretty much any laptop made post-2010 also has another output I can use. I also have a wired solution if necessary for any less-adaptive laptops. With the initial setup between the laptop and the TV(projector) the USB driver gets updated (taking between 10-30 seconds at the most) then plug in the HDMI and almost instant connection is made to the TV. You may have to set you TV to auto-adjust the resolution...but that was easy. My devices will at the most be 10 feet apart, and I have had zero issue with the connection dropping out to-date. I even have the TV adapter part, Velcroed to the back of the TV to completely hide it, and no issues with the line-of-sight. Great product, and is accomplishing everything I need. If only it worked for Android devices, I'd buy one for at home to run mirror my tablet to my TV. January 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but not with Windows 8.1 Works great with our Win 7 PC and Android tablet but does not work with a PC running Windows 8.1. Problem is that the Intel GPU drivers are not yet working well with 8.1. There are many similar reports from users on this. Apparently Win 8.0 systems are OK too but 8.1 users are currently out of luck. January 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Frustrated I would like my HP ENVY m6 to link with my HP Wireless TV Connect, QE389AA#ABC. I am using Windows 8.1 The PC Adaptor and TV adaptor are connected per instructions. Turned everything on and waited more that the recommended 5 minutes. On my flat screen TV I see the word “linking”. The blue light on the TV Adaptor is blinking. I assume that means the TV and the TV Adaptor are working together. After a few minutes the blinking stops. I see a blue screen with the words, “No Signal”. I assume the computer recognized the PC Adaptor because in the control panel I see an image representing the HP Wireless Video Transmitter also when powered I hear a tone from the computer, but no blue light from the PC Adaptor. My guess is that the PC Adaptor is not sending a signal. I followed the directions from a Solution in the HP Support Forum to disable the HID-compliant vendor. Still not working. Transmitter and receiver are not working together. I am at my wits end. Sure would be nice if these HP products worked together. Must be something simple I need to do. Any suggestions? Rated 4 out of 5 by Good but not for my home layout Had to return it because of my home room/walls configuration. TV was in the living room and PC about 25 ft away in next door office room but I have a reinforced exterior wall and 2 bathroom walls in the "line-of-sight" way that made reception spotty. It was easy to install and did immediately link fine and was perfectly clear with just one or two walls in the way up to 25 feet but my PC/TV locations are unfortunately just in the wrong spots relative to each other and the walls of my house. HP made the order and return easy and fast with a full refund. December 11, 2013
