It is listed as an all in one but does not have a dvd drive and must purchase an external one. If it had this it would be awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MattWithEnvy I love it!
I was contemplating whether to get 23" or 27" monitor, I am glad I chose the 27" one. I really like the large touch screen, it makes me feel like captain Picard on the deck of Starship Enterprise. I find my self often standing by my desk while reading emails and browsing, even when doing online banking. I rarely use mouse and keyboard unless I am writing something.
Beautifully packaged and highly refined product.

The exciting part of a new computer is the day you open the box. I was very impressed how quick I was up and running with the step by step Wi-Fi set up. Very simple. The 27" screen is crisp and clear, and the sound is awesome. With my first try at Windows 8.1 there have been some challenges in the first week. The touch screen works perfect and easy to navigate. Having the included very good keyboard is critical if you need to do a lot of documents. I purchased Microsoft Home & Student at a discount price with the computer purchase. Made it all very easy and ready to go.
The only reason that I did not give them five stars is that today, after only 10 days of use, the computer would not start. The on-line tech was great, however it was two hours of my time today to get everything working as it should. I was surprised to have a problem after only a short time of use. I purchased the two/three year support and my first chance to use it today. There were no issues getting connected to a qualified tech.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by KMarc36 An Amazing System- Well Done HP
This system is incredible. It is super fast (4th gen I7, 16gb RAM, hybrid drive). The touch screen is fun and responsive- it has a great feel to it. I love the ability to change the angle of the screen. A lot of people do not like the new Windows experience...I kinda like it. It is similar to any other smart phone/tablet in how it operates, so if you are used to that environment, it isn't a real big adjustment...just don't go into it expecting it to be like the Windows you are used to. Two issues I have, both software related NOT system related- 1) The app selection in Windows 8 is HORRIBLE. There are not many out there and the ones they have do not look very professional- frankly, I am scared to download most of them. I'm sure this will improve over time, I just hope it doesn't take too long. 2) I have android smart phones, and use the Google calendar to keep track of our family's busy schedule. There is no way to sync the windows calendar to my Google calendar. I know there are ways around this (launch the Google calendar in a browser, use an app like Cozi which will connect across multiple platforms), but I am a creature of habit and would really just like to be able to link my Google calendar.
I really enjoy this system and am glad I bought it. I would recommend it to anyone.
One more thing- I bought this through the HP website. I cannot say enough good things about their site and customer service. I had initially ordered a touchscreen laptop through the site, but a day later saw the all-in-ones in a store and decided I'd rather have one of those. I tried cancelling the laptop order, but it was too late. However, they have a VERY generous return policy (like 20 days, no cost), so when the laptop arrived, I just called them, they e-mailed a shipping label and I dropped it at a FedEx location- no hassle, no questions asked. I was refunded within a few days of sending it back. THAT is how you retain customers. HP will be the first place I look when it comes time to buy another system.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by charlie123 Problem PC
I like the size of this PC but very dissatisfied so far with it's performance. Actually, I am not sure
what is causing the problem, but I am about to send it back if the problems keep happening.
1) My files on Kompozer, web editor, disappeared after I saved them, so had to create them again
2) Every time I try to open Word or Excel I get a "something is wrong" message and I can't open it
3) Once the computer locked up, could do nothing, so I had to reboot it
4) You have to wait long for service on the help line
You know, I don't know why I bought HP because I have heard nothing but negative things from my friends and teacher. Really, If these problems persist, I am sending it back.

NEGATIVE-For the price--I am not sure i would buy this again. Called in before buying and support knows nothing of their own product. I asked if a dual monitor could be set up and they told me yes. NO it only has 1 HDMI in port. I agree with previous evaluation there is NO dvd reader/player--luckily i had a portable DVD to load my software. I wasnt aware that win8 doesnt allow for a boot from uSB Flash drive--I like to run linux from flash drive but this requires a BIOS config that can make the win 8 malfunction-not just the normal boot priority(that is if the support technician knows what he is talking about)!! I am still waiting to do a complete back up before I do this.
POSITIVE-fantastic screen, touch screen really nice, i purchased the i7 and it seems pretty fast, been a XP user for the past 12 year, getting use to WIN8 isnt as bad, I love the 2 eyar warranty-I like the app that set up a call or chat-I chatted with support and they took control of PC and solved some problems and made some worse(support service is still suspect if any of them any good or just some non-US nationals that dont understand the english language, WOW did I say the screen is really nice!
