My wife and me carefully selected this system and purchased it, because we trusted the advertisement we watched and thought it would be the desktop-PC my wife needs for her daily job (she is a journalist, and needs to get connected to Internet all the time...).
The system proved to be very fast, with a beautiful look, and screen-images and the like.
Unfortunately one of the most important features of all for us, the WiFi network adapter, started to fail unexpectedly since day 2.
We've been struggling with this issue for about three weeks, involving three times the HP Technical Support.
I have to say I always received a very good response from the HP Tech Support Team.
The original system was, in the end, returned and replaced by a new one (the documentation said the motherboard had a failure).
This second system still has the connectivity issues than the first one had.
On this system, at least the WiFi network adapter doesn't disconnects by itself or disables by itself.
But on a random basis, the WiFi loses connectivity to the Internet, and my wife is forced to reboot the system to be able to have it back operational. Almost 2-3 times a day. Every day.
It's really embarrasing that, after to paid cash more than 1,500 dollars, we have to end up using the "system" this way...
I've been searching in Internet for blogs reporting the same issue.... and to my surprise I've found dozens of this same complains... without a successful resolution...
To be clear... this is like to purchase a Ferrari.... having the gasoline tank unusable.
So without gas, you cannot drive it....
This system, without a normal operational Internet connection (in the 21st century) doesn't make sense at all.
We feel really frustrated by this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by fiddler2 ENVY 23 All-inOne Win 8.1 good PC
Had a lot trouble setting up a PC to printer connection. Finally the connection was accomplished with the help of HP techs.
A External DVD R/W drive purchased with the PC works fine but the drives built in USB cable is too short. I will have to by and extension cable for the drive to easily use it with the PC.
I also purchase a USB 3.0 Hub to connect all my external devices to the PC.
Other than that the PC works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DandDinAZ Great design and value!
We wanted to replace our 10+ year old HP desktop running XP Pro (still running) and got the email from HP introducing their new ENVY Recline line of All-in-Ones and started doing research. The reviews were very good and it seemed like the most versatile and best features we could find for the money. I bumped up the processor to the Quad Core 4765 and had it configured with 12GB of ram and added the CD/DVD player and better wi-fi/bluetooth card. So far, we're very happy. The ease of setup, speed and design have exceeded our expectations. So much so, that we decided to replace our office computer with the same ENVY Recline model as well. If these last as long as our old HP, we'll be extremely happy for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Laurabelle Very Smart Computer and Easy to Use
My other HP was tower based and 10 years old - still worked but slow and not enough memory, plus tower is a pain. I have a home based business so I'm on the computer ALL day and night, 7 days a week and I needed an upgrade plus wanted to get rid of XP. Had no idea what I wanted/needed but store staff helped me choose the Envy 23 based on my needs. The technology in this computer is just outstanding.
Thought screen was going to be too big (old one was only 14"!), but I love it. Took a day to get the hang of the touch screen and re-arrange things how I like it, but it's really awesome. Watched a Netflix movie last night an the color and definition, and the sound, were awesome! I often watch movies while I'm working at my desk, and this screen is better than my flat screen TV in my office!
Downsides were setting up the smart screen with all the app's I use and deleting all the default ones, but it only took a few minutes. File transfer from an external backup was a breeze and doing it myself save me $79 instead of having Best Buy do it. Highly recommend this PC - wish I would have upgraded sooner! HP products are the best and best customer service hands down!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by B2ron Great computer;poor software
This computer was at a good price, with the discount.
It arrived packaged good. Assembly was easy. It was up and running in short order.
On the downside, it comes with Windows 8.1, a disaster. It does not come with a DVD drive so figure on buying one. Also, it is overrun with useless Apps and kid games. It doesn't include any recovery disks, but that may be a thing of the past.
I am used to Windows 7, so I went out and bought a Windows 8.1 book to learn how to use it.
