Rated 3 out of 5Â by Jinxster Can not Overclock
System works good as is but they include a water cooled I7 4770K processor which can be overclocked but there is no way to overclock with the Motherboard that comes with the Desktop. The Bios that comes with the Motherboard does not allow you to set any parameters. In order to overclock you would have to purchase a different Motherboard or somehow obtain a different Bios.
I don't understand why HP would provide a processor made to overclock but you can't. They should also tell you this system can not be overclocked when you purchase it

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Naan Well-equipped, but I'm returning it
This is a very well-configured machine at a reasonable price. In fact, it is the best-equipped Windows 7 computer I could find, yet costs the same as those from other manufacturers that don't offer as many features (3TB HDD, 16+ GB RAM, BluRay, etc.) However, one of its "features" is its fatal flaw: red flashing lights. When the computer goes to sleep, the six red lines of light at the bottom of the machine flash every second or so, very brightly. After a while, this switches to only the long red line below the optical drive flashing, but that is still too much. The light is very bright, and it is distracting, annoying, and pointless. Tech support tells me this "feature" cannot be disabled, so I am returning it. I expect that if I set the computer never to go to sleep, that would avoid the lights, but I don't want to do that.
Other versions of this machine carried reviews that referred to the lights, so before purchasing, I chatted online with a rep and was told that this machine did not have them. She was wrong, and it does, so be sure you're okay with those lights if you order this.
My only other complaint is that the back of the machine only has 4 USB ports. Those were quickly used up with my external hard drive, printer, UPS, and monitor, leaving my keyboard and mouse attached messily to my monitor. You could also let them drop from the two ports on the top of the machine, or from the two behind the drop-down cover in front, but that's no more attractive. I don't know why there are only four in back - the Pavilion I bought a year ago has six in the same place.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Larry911 I love this desktop computer
1) I could get a new system with Windows 7, not 8, installed
2) A very fast processor and plenty of ram
3) Liquid cooled, and it really stays cool, and is extremely quiet
4) a 4Gb nVidia video card, so I can play Elder Scrolls Online at High and Ultra High audio/video setting. The graphics are awesome, it's like a new game, and coupled with a new internet service pushing +30Mb/sec downloads and zero lag game play.
5) Upfront and on top plugins, and connections are very nice.
-It blows me away, I've had computers since about 1988 and this is such a leap ahead from my previous HP.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by SmartBuyer007 Wow! Whatta choice! A winner!
I've upgraded from an HP 2006 desktop to this HP Envy Phoenix 810qe. Before purchasing it, I customized it upgrading to Windows7 Pro plus other features. I am still learning the Win7Pro OS and personalizing the settings, but so far I am just thrilled with the performance of this PC. I got this model because I am a professional photographer and digital artist, web designer, and I do a lot of work with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc. There are times when 1 file will be 300+Mb and I need a lot of RAM.
The back of the CPU needs more ports. There are very few places to plug in various pieces of equipment like printers, keyboards and other peripheral equipment. I had to purchase a new keyboard because this CPU doesn't have the right type of port(s) for the wireless keyboard and mouse I had. I also had to purchase a USB strip because I ran out of USP ports in the back. I don't like things permanently plugged in the front of the CPU. But the ports in the front are extremely useful.
So far (I've been using the computer 4 days), all has been great. I would give it a "5" rating, except it has frozen up on me as I imported my "FAVORITES" into IE11. But I have 1,000s of favorites and it just might have been IE freezing up. The Favorites folder did import correctly and they all work fine.
It also locked up when I was trying to save and install AOL 9.1. I haven't been able to get that installed yet, but the problem could be with AOL.
Overall, this computer is outstanding. My Adobe programs open in 30 seconds or less. The fast response time of this computer is excellent. It is such a pleasure to use.
I also am using a new HP monitor. It is the HP Z23i 23-inch IPS LED backlit Monitor. It is superb. I haven't done my own specific settings yet, but it doesn't look like it will need much. The colors are excellent. I've printed out a complex-colored poster and the printed colors and the monitor colors looks amazingly the same.
I highly recommend the computer and monitor. Thanks HP for more fabulous products.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Procucer HP has done it again!
This computer is great. The only flaw in my eyes is the red back light. Smooth operation. Instant & problem free installs. With still room for upgrades! Super quiet with excellent support. I've used only HP computers and this is by far the grand daddy of them all! It'll be at least 10 years before I'll need another one.

I added the best of everything to this machine and on top of the already great products that were included I now have a super fast computer. This is by far the best computer I have ever owned! Thanks HP for getting it to me as quickly as you did.
