HP gave great support, and I would recommend HP highly. I am also very pleased with the monitor. I thought my old monitor was excellent, but this 23-inch, back-lit monitor is much better.
I miss not having USB ports on the front for easier access. I am very unhappy that I can not use my HP 5470c Scanner, nor is there a driver to make it compatible. However, most of my discontents are concerned with software, For example, I am unable to format RW CD's. This is a 64-bit computer, and some of my programs seem to be incompatible. I shall keep this computer, but it is more sophisticated than I need for my mundane tasks.

The setup of my new computer was relatively easy. I am getting used to Windows 7 after leaving Windows XP behind (boo-hoo). Very frustrated that I cannot get sound on the computer without adding some little speakers. The i7 is very fast making it nice to start up and do my business. Hopefully, I will find out about the speaker when I can call a customer service representative. Other than I that, I am very satisfied with my HP Envy 700-215xt Desktop PC.

Was very dissapointed that the optical drive was not light scribe capable as this is my standard for labeling. Product is illustrated with dual drives but only contains one and the ordering web site did not have the option for dual drives.

I purchased this PC because it had all of the latest and greatest hardware and was happy that I was able to get it with Windows 7 instead of Windows 8. I have a laptop with Windows 8 and installed an APP that would make it look like Windows 7. My preference, and I'm very happy to purchase the PC with what I wanted, not what they would force me to have. Anyhow, the PC is super fast. I just had one problem in the beginning, the darn thing would not SLEEP. I took my time and Googled the problem and tried all of the suggested things for a few weeks, but, still no go. I finally called tech support and got to someone with very short wait. The person was very patient with me and we ended up trying a few things where I could try them while on the phone, they did not work and he ended up logging on to my PC and tried a few other things. He went away for a few minutes while I was on hold and came back and changed one setting under "Network" and that fixed the problem (something that allowed something or another). It has been getting its nightly sleep and I am able to awaken it by just moving the mouse and I am up and running within 15 seconds (probably quicker, but l like to wait to make sure). Again, this PC is very sharp looking and quiet and quick, what else could you ask for. And, great support is much appreciated!!!! Zero other problems. Thanks HP!!!

This machine has the USB 3 (SS) ports on top and the USB 2 ports on the front. It would be handier if the USB 3's were on the front, nex to the USB 2's.

Nice powerhouse machine. My only issue is that I prefer to use my wired up internet connection. I would expect this PC to recognize that and not use the Wireless connection.
