Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Upgrade I have been somewhat picky about upgrading from my last HP laptop, but knew I needed to. Doing more photo and video processing the little i3 processor just wasn't cutting it. I knew I wanted to upgrade to a machine with an i7 processor and a dedicated video card. This machine fit the bill and it is a world of difference. Not a huge fan of Windows 8 yet, but who knows, by the time Windows 10 comes out I might be longing for the "good ol days" of Windows 8. The machine itself is great, I love the back lit keyboard, the processor is ultra fast when I work in graphics intensive programs like Lightroom. I thought I might miss the DVD drive, but so far no need to get an external drive. About the only knock I'll give the machine is the touchpad. It seems like the left and right "buttons" are never quite where I think they are along the bottom of the touchpad so I'm always clicking the wrong half of the square. I solved this problem long ago with a wireless mouse, which I prefer to the touchpad overall. Overall a very nice upgrade over my old Pavilion notebook that I'm very glad I did. January 13, 2014

I got 2 years with in home service and all the bells and whistles for just over 2 bills and my laptop was almost 2000. 3 years of coverage from the outstanding Company HP. Not a bad trade off if you ask me!!! October 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great laptop This laptop starts up quickly and is very portable. Love it and wish I had bought it sooner. My other one had become outdated but I put off buying one thinking it was ok. Big mistake and I won't do it again. Technology has substantially changed and this is fabulous. March 26, 2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Purchase I was very thankful for this extra coverage. I received my new laptop on a Friday and our puppy chewed the power supply cord. My husband didn't think it would be covered by the warranty but it did. Thank you HP! December 6, 2011
