Customer ratings and reviews for HP 12C Financial Programmable Calculator

Rated 5 out of 5 by Real Estate Owner and Developer I was taught the HP-38E in CCIM school of the Realtors National Marketing Institute in maybe 1979-1981. When the HP12 came out I graduated to it. This instrument has made me more money than anything and I cannot praise it enough. This tool is a must in the financial world. Thank you HP! September 16, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by If you demand the best... This financial calculator and its scientific siblings are the gold standard of excellence and have been so for decades. There is no financial operation or computation or extrapolation or interpolation that is not possible with these handhelds. The only requirement is that users join the big leagues by learning RPN--something that should be mandatory in high school. If they aren't willing to take that step, then they should not purchase a serious financial calculator. September 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Am I still alive I bought mine back in the horse and buggy era. Too bad HP only rates products up to 5 stars. I would rate this 10s. A true icon of handheld financial calculation for school, job, or whatever. August 20, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best calculator ever I bought one of these when they were new on the market and I was a poor business graduate teaching assistant. II used it untl recently when it was stolen. It's helped me do all my personal financial planning, helped my kids with homework, and performed all professional work necessary. I changed batteries only twice in the entire time. Having the positive touch is important and the clean design is timeless. I have used other calculators on occasion, but this is the best. July 28, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Over 20 years and still going I have used other brands. They all wore out in a year or two. Bad keyboards. Poor functions. I finally purchased the 12c and I have never regretted it. THe RPN enter sequence is different thatn the others but took me about 5 minutes to get comfortable with it. I notice a low review. I imagine that it was someone whe did not read the manual and use RPN. At the current price it is a steal. July 4, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by My 12C Now retired from Mortgage and Real Estate, I still use my 12C. that I bought in 1981 for $150, plus a 2nd one from a few years latter. I used the previous HP #ed financial calculator prior to that. I would give all three a 10 if I could. Larryd July 4, 2009
